The adjustment was smaller than that applied in 2023 and is expected to affect almost 8 million beneficiaries
Last Tuesday (4), the National Agency for Integrative Health (ANS) approved the maximum annual adjustment equal to 6.91% in the prices of individual and family health plans. The 2024 correction was lower than that applied in 2023, where plans had adjusted by 9.63%.
“The index defined by ANS for 2024 reflects the change in healthcare expenses incurred in 2023 compared to healthcare expenses in 2022 for beneficiaries of individual and family health plans. When we talk about health plans, the variation in expenses is directly associated with the variation in the costs of procedures and in the frequency of use of health services,” said Paulo Rebello, director-president of ANS, in a statement released by the body.
