‘Be Proud’: Bruna Linzmeyer Wears White and Shows Off Her Armpit Hair

Bruna Linzmeyer was the master of ceremonies for the fourth edition of the event “Be proud”, an initiative by Globo Condé Nast publications (Vogue, Casa Vogue, Glamor and GQ), to highlight artists who are part of the community, in celebration of LGBTQIAPN+ Pride Month. For the occasion, which took place this Thursday (27th), in Sao Paulo, she wore a bold white dress designed by designer Christopher Esber and left her armpit hair on display.

The actress is a fan of not waxing, so much so that she posted photos on Instagram in a bikini with pubic hair on display. For the event, full of performances by DJ Júlia, DJ Suelen, Banda UÓ and DJ Nicolas, she dared with a look that left a lot of skin on display, one of the characteristics of the Australian designer, who focuses on sensuality.

The dress is made with gathered fabric, leaving cutouts on the front and back. With a fit that gives movement, it is finished with a resin decoration in the navel area, which is also visible. In terms of beauty, she chose wet-look strands, well-shaped skin and an emphasis on reddish lipstick.

Bruna Linzmeyer stopped shaving a long time ago. In 2019 she explained her decision. “I started looking at men and finding this difference strange just because they were men versus women. I wanted to try to have them [os pelos]. See them in me. Touching them while I put cream on my body. No longer having to deal with the unbearable pain, nor with the price of waxing, nor with the time dedicated to doing it, nor with those annoying ingrown hairs. And in a way I didn’t expect, I too started to find my hair really beautiful. I have learned that freedom and love is respecting the choices of others, when these choices, when these choices do not violate anyone, “she said.

In the April white bikini publication, the actress received a flood of comments for and against. But those who supported it remembered the freedom to do what you want, without subjecting yourself to the standards imposed by society. “Bruna, freedom is what we want! Well done for daring to be who you are, without filters, without masks, with your hair – or without – but, above all, however you want to appear! Well done!”, said one user of the Internet.

The amount raised by “Pride” will be used for an action supported by the Casa Neon Cunha institution, which provides support for the rectification of the name and gender of trans people who wish to change their birth and marriage registration. The service, carried out directly at the civil registry offices of natural persons, costs on average R$130. Casa Neon Cunha offers both guidance on the process and financial support for interested individuals.
