Gol has announced that it will resume direct flights between Brazil and Cancun, in the Mexican Caribbean. The route will have two weekly frequencies, departing from Brasilia International Airport, starting December 11. This will be the only direct connection between Brazil and the destination.
Flights will depart from Brasilia on Tuesdays, with take-off scheduled at 11:30, and on Saturdays, with take-off scheduled at 11:55. Return flights depart from Cancun Tuesday at 8.40pm and Saturday at 7.30pm.
It is important to remember that Mexico requires a visa for Brazilians (see here for a step-by-step guide on how to obtain one). Those with an American visa do not need to obtain a Mexican visa.
Cancun It is the gateway to the so-called Riviera Maya, about 120 km of coastline that brings together one of the greatest diversity of marine life in the country, with the second largest coral reef in the world. In addition to native forests, which contain a series of cenotes, caves with underground rivers.
