Between July 6 and August 18, the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center in São Paulo hosts the “Pacino” Film Festival.
The event, which has already taken place at CCBB RJ and will also be presented at CCBB Brasilia, will feature a program that includes the screening of 24 feature films starring actor Al Pacino, as well as a discussion with curator Paulo Santos Lima and a guest speaker and a six-hour course on the history of film acting.
“Cinema tends to reflect reality, and the intention is to retrace the history of the world and the arts over the last five decades through the genius of this extraordinary artist,” explains Lima, in a note sent to Travel at a rate.
Among the titles in the exhibition are some of Pacino’s most revered works, such as the trilogy The Godfather (1974), Scarface (1983) and Women’s perfume (1992), and others that earned him Oscar nominations, such as Serpico (1973), A dog day (1975), Justice for all (1979) and Dick Tracy (nineteen ninety).
The exhibition is also an opportunity to see some of the lesser-known, but no less important, productions of the actor’s career, such as The employee (1971), his first protagonist, and a rescue of other works, such as The Scarecrow (1973) and A moment, a lifetime (1977).
