Subsequently, subjects with a prolonged sedentary lifestyle showed higher scores than people with low scores. In other words, the researchers concluded that an excessively sedentary lifestyle equates to long-term mental health problems after a stroke.
Furthermore, the team of experts concluded that reducing a sedentary lifestyle may also be important in preventing post-stroke anxiety, depression and insomnia.
