The price of a men’s haircut at Silvio Santos’s hairdresser is a little higher than at other salon professionals in São Paulo.
With the death of Silvio Santos at the age of 93 last Saturday (17), it has been realized that few icons are as symbolic as the presenter. With his unmistakable charisma and his surprising presence, the presenter stood out not only for his professional career, but also for his impeccable personal style.
One of the secrets behind Silvio Santos’ look was his weekly visits to the Jassa hair salon, which has been taking care of the SBT owner’s hair for 48 years. But how much does it cost to maintain a refined look like that of the “boss”?

THE Earth you discovered that a men’s haircut at Jassa Hair Studio costs R$300. However, if you want to be served directly by Jassa, the price increases to R$350. While on SBT, Silvio Santos went to the salon weekly. In other words, the owner of SBT invested at least R$1,400 a month to keep his hair impeccable.
Who is Robson Jassa?
Robson Jassa, the hairdresser’s son, also followed the profession and gets his hair cut at the salon for R$300 (men’s cut), the same price as the other professionals who work there. It was up to him, on Saturday, to inform his father of Silvio Santos’ death.
“Saturday was very sad. It was very sad when I opened my phone and saw the news. Then I went to tell my father. And you’re there, having to help people. We didn’t have the means. We closed the corridor.”

Robson also said that since she stopped hosting her programs on SBT in 2022, Silvio Santos’ visits to the salon have been more sporadic. Their last meeting took place in February of this year, when the presenter went in person for the last time to the salon located in Jardim Paulista, an upscale neighborhood in São Paulo.
Who is Jassa?

Born in Serra de Cuité, Paraíba, José Jacenildo dos Santos, known as Jassa, worked as a shoe shiner as a child. When he arrived in São Paulo in 1964, he discovered his skill with scissors. In the 1980s, he took courses in Paris, France.
According to her professional website, Jassa met Silvio Santos in 1976 in the production of the play “We Also Know How to Do It”. Since then, she began cutting the presenter’s hair, with whom she became friends.
