Caramelized coconut

Ingredients:

  • 250 g of wempty fresh diced
  • 1 cup (tea) of asugar crystal
  • 1/3 cup (tea) water

Preparation method:

  1. Place the fresh coconut cut into cubes, the sugar and the water in a saucepan.
  2. Mix lightly and cook over medium heat, without needing to stir continuously.
  3. After about 10 minutes you will notice that the water has reduced a lot, the sugar has started to take on a light color and the pieces of coconut are visible in the pan.
  4. At this point, lower the heat and start stirring continuously.
  5. The mixture will start to become sugary and should melt and caramelize.
  6. Continue mixing well until desired color is achieved.
  7. Quickly transfer the mixture onto a baking sheet and spread it evenly.
  8. Let it cool and serve.
