Simple cake with orange syrup

Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 cups sugar (tea)
  • 2 glasses of natural yogurt (400g)
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing

Syrup:

  • 1 cup (tea) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation method:

  1. Using a stand mixer, beat the eggs with the salt and sugar until they double in volume.
  2. Gently add the yogurt and butter and mix well.
  3. Gradually incorporate the flour and then, lastly, the yeast.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured pan with a 24cm diameter hole in the centre and bake in a preheated medium oven for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Unmold and place on a large plate.
  6. Meanwhile, for the syrup, place the ingredients in a pan, place over medium heat and boil for 3 minutes.
  7. Pour half of it on the cake and then serve with the rest of the syrup in a bowl.
