Recipe for condensed oat milk (homemade), super creamy and incredibly tasty – ideal for dairy-free/lactose-free and vegan desserts.

Ingredients CONDENSING OAT MILK (HOMEMADE)

– 500ml gluten-free oat milk (preferably unflavoured or homemade) and unsweetened

– 1 cup(s) of sugar

– 2 tablespoons cornstarch

– 2 teaspoons vegan butter – for added creaminess (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
  2. To obtain the equivalent of one can of condensed oat milk (395g), use the recipe for 4 servings.
  3. Get readyu homemade oat milk in advance or use a brand of your choice, unflavored and if it contains sugar, check the sweetness and, if necessary, adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe.

PREPARATION:

Condensed Oat Milk (Homemade):

  1. In a saucepan, combine the oat milk, sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Melt well with a whisk to make it smooth.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly with a spatula until it thickens and a bit of the bottom of the pan can be seen when you use the spatula. (average time 7 to 10 minutes).
  4. Once the mixture is thick, remove from the heat and add the vegan butter (optional), mixing until completely absorbed.
  5. If you want a smoother consistency, pass the mixture through a sieve before storing.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Cover with cling film and leave to rest oat condensed milk (homemade) Cool before use or storage.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
  3. Use as a vegan/dairy-free substitute in various recipes to replace traditional condensed milk.
