Fish Pie: Creamy Inside and Crispy Outside

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 grated onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1 chopped seedless tomato
  • 400 g of minced hake fillet
  • Salt, black pepper and chopped parsley to taste
  • 2 1/2 cups (tea) water
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 400 g of boiled and squeezed potatoes
  • 5 cups (tea) of wheat flour
  • 4 beaten eggs for breading
  • Broken angel hair pasta to be breaded
  • Oil for frying

Preparation method:

  1. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the tomato, fish and sauté for 5 minutes, until it begins to fall apart. Season with salt, pepper and parsley.
  3. Add the water, milk, potatoes and mix.
  4. When it boils, add the flour all at once. Stir until it comes away from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Transfer to a cold surface and let cool.
  6. Work the dough for 2 minutes and form balls.
  7. Dip the eggs, the broken noodles and fry them in boiling oil until golden, little by little.
  8. Drain on absorbent paper and serve immediately.
