Easy Caprese Pasta: Ideal as a Hot Pasta or as a Salad


Prepare a simple and delicious caprese pasta, ideal as a hot pasta or light salad for any occasion




A super simple pasta that can be served hot or cold. Perfect for those looking for a light pasta, with tomato and basil

Recipe for 4 people.

1 cutting board(s), 1 pan(s) (for cooking the pasta), 1 bowl(s), 1 grater (optional)

cup = 240 ml, tablespoon = 15 ml, teaspoon = 10 ml, teaspoon = 5 ml

Pasta ingredients:

– 400 g farfalle, other short pasta of your choice (or penne)

– salt to taste

Caprese sauce ingredients:

– 1 1/3 cup(s) extra virgin olive oil, or enough to moisten the dough

– 2 cloves garlic, unpeeled, chopped

– 20 cherry tomatoes, cut in half

– 240 g of buffalo mozzarella balls cut into slices

– basil to taste (leaves)

– salt to taste

– pepper to taste

– dried oregano to taste (optional)

Ingredients to accompany:

– grated parmesan cheese to taste

PREPARATION:

  1. Wash and peel the garlic clove and cut it in half lengthwise.
  2. Put the olive oil in a bowl, add the garlic clove, season with salt, mix and set aside.
  3. Put a pot of water on to boil to cook the pasta.
  4. Set aside all other ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  5. Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half lengthwise.
  6. Slice the buffalo mozzarella.
  7. Wash and dry the basil leaves.
  8. If you choose to serve the pasta hot, grate the parmesan cheese to accompany it.

PREPARATION:

Mass:

  1. When the water boils, add salt and pasta. Cook according to the time indicated on the package.

Caprese sauce:

  1. Remove the garlic clove from the oil.
  2. Add the chopped tomato(s) and the slice(s) of buffalo mozzarella to the flavored oil. Mix gently.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Book.

Assembly – Caprese Pasta:

  1. Once the pasta is cooked al dente, drain it and arrange it directly on top of the Caprese sauce.
  2. Add the fresh basil leaf(s).
  3. Stir until the pasta is well coated with sauce and flavored with basil. Add more oil if necessary.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve immediately as a hot pasta or refrigerate to make a delicious Caprese pasta salad.
  2. If you choose to serve it hot, accompany it with grated parmesan cheese.
