Easy Italian Straw Cake

Time: 1h (+4h in the fridge)

Performance: 10 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 packs of cornstarch biscuits (300g)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Brigadier:

  • 250 g of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons of chocolate powder

Preparation method:

  1. For the brigadeiro, mix the condensed milk, semi-sweet chocolate, butter and chocolate powder in a pan.
  2. Place over low heat, stirring until the chocolate melts and leaves the bottom of the pan.
  3. Mix the cream and let it cool.
  4. Meanwhile, in the blender, crush half of the cornstarch biscuit and transfer it to a bowl.
  5. Add the butter and mix with your hands until a moist crumb forms.
  6. Line a 24cm springform pan with cling film.
  7. Spread the farofa on the bottom of the pan, pressing it with your fingers.
  8. Reserve some of the brigadeiro for the dressing.
  9. Make layers of brigadeiro and then with the rest of the cornstarch biscuit, finishing with the brigadeiro.
  10. Refrigerate for 4 hours.
  11. Remove, turn out onto a plate and decorate with the brigadeiro set aside.
  12. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve immediately.
