Acebolado meat with cassava

Time: 1 hour

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 600 g of sirloin or breast strips
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (shoyu)
  • 1 kg of peeled and cooked cassava cut into pieces
  • Oil for frying

Preparation method:

  1. In a bowl, season the meat with garlic and salt.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and fry meat until golden brown. Remove and reserve.
  3. Fry the onion in the same pan until golden.
  4. Add the soy sauce and cook for 3 minutes or until slightly reduced.
  5. Turn off and pour over the meat to serve.
  6. In another pan, fry the cassava in hot oil until golden brown.
  7. Remove, drain on absorbent paper and serve with the meat.
