The 10th edition of the Gastronomic Arraial of the Buscapé Project will bring more than 80 chefs to Camburi from 29 to 31 July

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Gastronomic Festival of the Buscapé Project has a new scheduled date: between 29 and 31 July, in Camburi, on the north coast of São Paulo, about 150 kilometers from the capital São Paulo. Curated by chef Eudes Assis, the julina party will bring together more than 80 chefs to raise funds for the project.

Among the confirmed chefs there are big names like Pier Paolo Picchiahead of the Italian Picchi; Luiz Filipe SouzaEvvai, which just debuted on the expanded list of the 50 best restaurants in the world 2022; Taxia Magalhães, from the Italian Nelita; and the pastry chef Luca Corazza. There will also be the participation of La Guapaby chef Paola Carosella, from hot porkthe couple Jefferson and Janaína Rueda and the camelia ododoby chef Bela Gil.

Chefs will prepare and serve delicacies (R $ 5 to R $ 20) and attendees can also enjoy traditional games (R $ 3), such as fishing and clown’s mouth. All profits will be returned to Buscapé projectwhich serves more than 170 socially vulnerable children in its headquarters, which offers hospitality and activities such as a classroom for judo and ballet lessons, spaces for theater and music lessons, as well as kitchens for cooking classes and a free outdoor space for yoga and plastic arts practices.

The purpose of this year’s collection, according to Assis, Buscapé’s vice president and gastronomy coordinator, is to make one of the kitchens in the building able to offer breakfast, lunch and snacks to all children. “After two years of living in a pandemic, we have witnessed a very sad reality, to see that food, which should be an essential right of every human being, is actually a privilege. With the amount raised we will transform this reality, putting our kitchen into operation and guaranteeing provisions, utensils, as well as tables and chairs for children’s meals “, comments the chef.

Between drinks, Carol Oda will bring options with gin, beer, kombucha and others to the party. Dudu Quintella donated the cachaças for the peanut smoothie. Daniela Bravin he will bring the wines that can be bought in glasses and bottles. The brewers of the region will supply 30 liters of craft beer on tap: Pale Ale, Lager, Witbier, Ipa. Single Fin, a gin distillery, will make the gin and tonic. The typical quentão of the June party is entrusted to the caiçara Donate Lavinia.
