Laces can do more than just hold shoes on your feet.
Have you changed the laces on your sneakers? Don’t rush to throw away your old ones – you can do many wonderful things with them. For example…
Fishing rod

Did a ring fall down the sink drain? Stop panicking! Attach a magnet to an old cord and you can remove your jewelry quickly and easily. And do not rush to disassemble the resulting fishing rod: the cheapest plastic folder and a few paper clips are enough to create a game for a child.

For you, the holidays are the best days of the year, but for plants, they can be the worst: not everyone is meant to survive your absence. But you can create an irrigation system with laces and any container (for example, a plastic watering can) – and all the flowers will be safe and you will not depend on the conscience of your neighbor.
Leaking faucets can be very annoying! If the sound of falling drops keeps you from relaxing or falling asleep, there is a simple solution: tie a string to the plumbing and direct it down the drain. Of course, you’ll still have to call a repairman, but the noise won’t drive you crazy while you wait for it.
There’s no need to buy special toys for your cat: simply tie a few strings together, forming a loop on one side and leaving the ends dangling on the other. However, you can do without it: as practice shows, just one lace is enough to delight your pet.
It’s time for scrubs and masks, but has your headband disappeared somewhere? Lace would be a great replacement! And if you have a glue gun, you can make a pretty decoration with some string and a simple plastic headband – for example for St. Patrick’s Day.
Do you not only have a shoelace, but also a sock without a pair? It’s time to get creative: you can create this cute octopus.
On the cord you can place, for example, paper clips or hairpins. You can also tie its ends, attach it to the wall with buttons and hang ties, scarves or sunglasses on the resulting loop.
If you have a summer home, you probably know how a rake or shovel can rub your hands. To avoid this, make a soft pad from the lace that will protect your palms – simply wrap it around the handle of the tool.
