Trick or treat? Outback creates a Halloween-themed menu for the first time

The restaurant chain gets into the spirit with creative and spooky options

Halloween is coming and, every year, more and more restaurants in Brazil get into the spooky spirit with a creative and fun menu. Outback offers a spooky experience with a Halloween-themed menu, created for the first time in the brand’s history.

Among the trick-or-treaters, there are three options that promise to please the whole family: a portion of pumpkin pancakes with ribs, which brings a little surprise among them, a scary mocktail, with an impactful look, and a new sauce of cranberries for its famous Ribs.

The chain bets on intense flavors and unexpected combinations to celebrate the scariest date of the year in a limited edition of products available for a very limited period: starting from Monday 21st and until 31/10.

“Halloween is seen as an opportunity to escape the daily grind and indulge in fun, mystery and celebration. We’re big on escapism and providing a good customer experience. We’re bringing our own bold flavor to this game, to encourage the audience to enjoy an Outback Moment,” comments Raquel Paternesi, senior director of marketing, sales and growth at Bloomin’ Brands, the group that owns Outback in Brazil.

Freak Eye Lemonade is the perfect option for those who love Halloween decor

The Trick or Ribs appetizer (R$39.90) offers an experience that promises to surprise customers. There are six mystery cupcakes: five of them are made with an irresistible pumpkin dough and filled with the famous Ribs, Cheddar Melt and lots of strong flavour. But be careful, one of the cupcakes hides a mischief and was inspired by the Havanna Thunder brownie. The appetizer is accompanied by a cheese fondue that the customer can dip and enjoy.

Freak Eye Lemonade (R$ 29.90) is the ideal option for those who love sweets and want to immerse themselves in the Halloween atmosphere. The mocktail is made with red berry syrup, lemon and a touch of ginger, finished with ginger bubblegum and foam, plus an eye-shaped candy with fake glass.

Traditional flame-grilled pork ribs get a special twist with red blackberry sauce in the Blood Berry Ribs (R$109.90).

The Halloween campaign is available in all of the brand’s restaurants and with delivery via iFood. Freak Eye Lemonade is not valid for delivery or takeout orders.
