Ingredients AIRFRYER CHIPS

– salt to taste

– 2 pieces of Asterix potatoes, large (see pre-preparation)

Ingredients FOR GREATING:

– 1/2 tablespoon(s) of oil (or olive oil)

PREPARATION:

  1. The Asterix potato is most suitable for frying as it is a drier potato, but other types of potatoes can also be used with good results.
  2. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  3. Preheat the Airfryer at 200ÂșC for at least 5 minutes.

PREPARATION:

Airfryer French Fries:

  1. Wash and dry the potatoes. If you prefer, peel it.
  2. Cut the potatoes into slices lengthwise, of uniform size and with the thickness you prefer. Next, cut each slice into sticks, making them thinner or thicker, as long as they are all the same.
  3. Dry them well with a clean cloth or absorbent paper: the drier they are, the crispier they will be.
  4. Place the sticks in the bowl, drizzle with olive oil or oil and mix.
  5. Add the salt and mix again so that they are well seasoned. Unlike frying, here the salt before roasting helps to obtain the crunchiness.

How to prepare French fries in the Airfryer:

  1. Place the sticks in the Airfryer basket. Depending on the quantity, fry them gradually to ensure they are crispy.
  2. Place the basket in the preheated fryer and bake at 200ÂșC for about 30 minutes. Open the drawer every 5 minutes and shake the basket to turn the sticks and ensure even browning.
  3. Monitor constantly, as the time may vary depending on the moisture of the potatoes, the size of the sticks and the power of the fryer.
