Last November 2, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) hosted an event full of glamor and stars: the 13th edition of the annual Art+Film gala.




This year’s edition had the special support of big names: Saturday De SarnoCreative Director of Gucci, e Stefano Cantinodeputy CEO of the Italian brand.

However, they brought a touch of exclusivity to the event. The event was once again co-chaired by LACMA curator, Eva Chowand the actor Leonardo DiCapriowho have held this role for a decade.

The main goal of the gala is to raise funds for curatorial programming. In addition to LACMA’s exhibitions and activities, it reinforces the museum’s essential role in the Los Angeles cultural scene.

The event

The celebrities paraded with breathtaking looks, paying homage to the chosen one of the evening, the artist Simone Leigh and the director Baz Luhrmann. Although, as per tradition, the red carpet was sponsored by Gucci, who brought a series of iconic and ultra-bold outfits.

After dinner created by Chef David Shimof the acclaimed COTE New York, the first Korean Steakhouse in the USA to receive a Michelin star. Furthermore, singer Charli XCX gave the audience a special performance.

The collection

The “Gucci Notte” collection was the highlight of the evening, being the second collection of evening dresses designed by From Sarnoinspired by the “Gucci Ancora Notte”, launched at last year’s event. Furthermore, it balanced elegance and sophistication, celebrating Gucci’s fashionable architecture and renowned savoir-faire.

Among the guests wearing Gucci were the co-presidents Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprioas well as the evening’s award winners such as Simone Leigh and Baz Luhrmannand celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Mia Goth and Charli XCX.

Finally, other prominent names who paraded with the brand’s creations Andrew Garfield, Cara Delevingne, Javier Bardem and Viola Davisamong many others, reinforcing the brightness and importance of the event to the Los Angeles arts and culture community.
