Romeo and Juliet in the Airfryer: easy and delicious recipe for gratinating cheese and guava

ROMEO AND JULIET Ingredients IN THE AIRFRYER

– 400 g of guava blocks or as much as needed to line the molds or refractory bowls

– 150 g of cream cheese

– 1 unit of beaten egg

– 300 g of cream, with whey (or canned cream)

– salt to taste (pinch)

PREPARATION:

  1. The recipe yields 3 units for every 2 servings – in baking molds or bowls measuring 9cm in diameter by 4.5cm high.
  2. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  3. Cut the guava paste into slices of approximately 5 mm with a length limited to ¾ of the height of the heatproof container.
  4. Fill the bottom of the molds or baking bowls with the guava slices and then fit the remaining ones up the sides – do not let the slices rise above ¾ of the height of the molds or baking bowls.
  5. Crack the egg(s) into a bowl and whisk just to combine.
  6. Preheat the Airfryer to 160ºC.

PREPARATION:

Cream cheese:

  1. Place the cream cheese and a little cream in a bowl and beat with a wire whisk until the cream cheese melts.
  2. Add the remaining cream and continue beating until you obtain a smooth mixture.
  3. Add the beaten egg(s) and a pinch of salt and mix until you obtain a very smooth cream.

Assembly:

  1. Distribute the cream cheese into the molds or refractory bowls prepared with the guava paste, respecting 3/4 of the height as a limit.

Cooking in the Airfryer:

  1. Place the Romeo and Juliet units in the Airfryer basket, leaving room for air to circulate.
  2. Depending on the quantity it may be necessary to divide it into several phases.
  3. Place the basket in the drawer and insert it into the appliance preheated to 160°C.
  4. Cook for 10-15 minutes or until the surface is golden (this time depends on the power of your equipment).
  5. Remove from Airfryer.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve the Romeo and Juliet in the Airfryer in warm molds or heat-resistant bowls or store in the refrigerator to consume cold.
