The country leads the ranking of hospital excellence, with particular attention to Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre
Five Brazilian hospitals are among the top 20 medical centers in Latin America. The Israelite Albert Einstein Hospital and the Sírio-Libanês Hospital, both in São Paulo, occupy the top positions in the list published by the data analysis company IntelLat.

The classification considers qualitative and quantitative data from 61 hospitals, based on a questionnaire with 163 questions covering eight areas: safety, people management, knowledge production, treatment efficiency, patient experience, sustainability, technology and telemedicine. To be considered, each hospital must meet at least 50% of the required criteria in all of these categories.
In addition to Albert Einstein and Sírio-Libanês who lead the ranking, the The Moinhos de Vento Hospital, in Porto Alegre, also stands out, occupying fourth place with a score of 72.01. Other Brazilian hospitals on the list include Hospital Nove de Julho (11th place) and Hospital Municipal Vila Santa Catarina (16th place), both located in Sao Paulo.
The survey also investigated perceptions of prestige among healthcare workers in Latin America, consulting 8,660 members of the hospital community. In this research, the Albert Einstein, Sírio-Libanês and the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the USP (FMUSP) have been highlighted as institutions of great recognition and excellence in Brazil.
