When we think about improving the health of our hair, skin and nails, the first thing that probably comes to mind is beauty products. But food matters too!

Our skin, hair, and nails reflect what we put into our bodies, and there are some foods that can help keep them healthy. See some examples below.

1. Fatty fish

Seafood rich in omega-3 fatty acids can help reduce inflammation and redness in the body and skin, as well as being an excellent source of protein, vitamin E, antioxidants and biotin. Some seeds, especially sunflower seeds, are good sources of biotin, protein, and vitamin E. Walnuts and almonds are also rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, which helps fight oxidative damage. It’s also worth mentioning that vitamin E has anti-inflammatory properties that can help absorb the light energy of ultraviolet rays and protect against skin damage, such as fine wrinkles and sun spots.
