Meat pie with shortcrust pastry

Ingredients:

  • 1 roll of shortcrust pastry (500 g)
  • Olive oil for greasing
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing

Filling:

  • 4 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 diced red chilli pepper
  • 500g cooked and chopped beef
  • 1/2 cup sliced ​​green olives
  • Salt, black pepper and chopped green chilli to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella

Preparation method:

  1. For the filling, place the oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the onion and garlic for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the pepper and sauté for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the meat, olives and brown for 2 minutes.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, green chilies and leave to cool.
  5. Roll out the dough and line one side of a greased medium baking dish.
  6. Spread the meat and cover with the cheese.
  7. From the remaining dough, cut some strips and cover the cake, intertwining.
  8. Brush with egg yolk and bake in a preheated medium oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove and serve immediately.
