Last year, Talullah gave more details about his father’s illness to Vogue, talking about the discovery process and how difficult it was to communicate with him. “My family announced in early 2022 that Bruce Willis suffered from aphasia, a brain-mediated inability to speak or understand language, and this year we learned that this symptom is a feature of frontotemporal dementia, a neurological disorder progressively deteriorating his cognitive abilities and behavior day by day. I knew something was wrong a long time ago.”
