Hormonal imbalances: learn to control the symptoms

The nutritionist shares tips to address hormonal imbalance and improve women’s well-being during the end of the year

As we approach the end of the year, it’s normal to reflect on health and well-being, especially when it comes to hormonal balance. Small changes to routine can make a big difference for women dealing with issues like endometriosis or other hormonal imbalances. Below, nutritionist Priscila Schramm, a women’s health specialist, offers practical advice that can help you transform the quality of your life.

Wear comfortable clothes

Choosing 100% cotton panties and avoiding synthetic materials like polyester is essential. “Natural fabrics help keep your private parts healthier, preventing infections and irritation. This change may seem small, but it makes a big difference in the long term,” emphasizes Priscila. Also opt for clothes made from linen, cotton or hemp to maximize the benefits.

Reinforced breakfast

Not skipping breakfast is a golden rule, but what you eat at mealtime is even more important. Include fiber and at least 18 g of protein, always adapting the amount to your individual needs. “Fiber helps regulate estrogen levels, while protein provides energy and support for hormonal functioning,” explains the nutritionist.

Invest in massages

Regularly integrating massages in the lower abdominal area with vegetable oils can be a simple and effective practice. In addition to improving circulation, it helps relieve tension and promote greater connection with the body. “The oil is very simple to prepare, add 100ml of almond oil plus 10 drops of mugwort essential oil, mix everything and spread on the lower abdomen”, advises Priscila.

Do breathing exercises

Abdominal breathing, also known as lower abdominal breathing, is a powerful tool for women with hormonal imbalances. “This technique helps reduce stress, which is one of the biggest enemies of hormonal balance. Furthermore, it promotes blood circulation and relaxes the pelvic region, making it particularly useful for those suffering from endometriosis”, concludes the specialist.
