Decorator Reveals Larissa Manoela’s Marriage Challenges: ‘Avoiding the Obvious’

In an interview with CARAS Brasil, decorator Renata Paraiso provides details of the wedding and Larissa Manoela and André Luiz Frambach praise the work

Larissa Manoela (23) e André Luiz Frambach (27) got married for the third time last Tuesday, the 17th, in a luxurious ceremony in Guaratiba, in the west of Rio de Janeiro. The decoration was one of the points that attracted attention, due to its delicacy and originality and, according to the decorator Renata Paraísoresponsible for the works, had already been planned for months.

It was a dream, our true fairy tale. An enchanted garden and exactly as we imagined it. We are very happy [com o resultado]“, say Larissa Manoela and her husband, in an interview with CARAS Brazil. The decorator says the project started five months ago and he was asked to bring in elements from the film Tangled (Disney) and Thailand, the country visited by the couple.

My challenge was to create a decoration that deviated from the obvious, bringing refinement but respecting the couple’s request.“, he states.”I thought of bringing the Disney film back in a subtle way in the garlands of flowers woven on the altar, to reference the theme but avoiding a literal rendering..”

Paraiso says he chose to bring colors in romantic tones, with a predominance of tea pink. Furthermore, he knew that the actress’s second dress would have rose appliqués, and so he decided to explore the flower a lot, pairing it with hydrangeas and orchids.

To allude to Thailand, the designer created a 12-meter path based on the country’s traditional Lantern Festival, to connect the ceremony space to the party space. He says around 1,000 floating lanterns were installed, through which the 230 guests were able to pass.

I created a playful effect, with the lanterns coming out of the lake and climbing between the palm trees, and at a certain point I opened a kind of tunnel with these Thai elements, to create a special emotion when entering the party space.

PARTY DECORATION DETAILS

Paraiso says the party space was sophisticated and clean, with all the metal covered in white linen. “I used voile strategically, with folds on the vertical structures and asymmetrical horizontal movements on the ceiling, like clouds, creating an ethereal and organic atmosphere..”

As for the furniture, he opted for comfortable tables and padded chairs, to bring comfort to the guests. The tablecloths were white silk, the dinnerware was the Strauss brand and the floral arrangements were generous, but not tall: one of the couple’s requests.

The bar was created in pink tones and specially designed by the decorator for the occasion. For the cake table the two chose not to have a dessert table, thus giving a special space to The King Cake. “I created a beautiful structure to highlight the cake, completely covered in flowers, to be a perfect space for the bride and groom’s toast.”

The dance carpet was made with a special white plotter that facilitated cleaning throughout the night, the same material used on the ceremony catwalk. “I think it was a record, because I don’t remember ever seeing a walkway longer than 50 meters“, says the decorator.

To overcome decoration challenges, Paraiso led a team of 100 members and was present until the last moments before the wedding, applying the flowers close to the ceremony to prevent them from wilting.

I created vertical gardens at the entrance to the ceremony so that the bride appeared as if she was coming out of a secret garden, creating suspense and a lot of emotion for everyone present.“, accounts.”I really enjoyed participating in such a beautiful project, which was created with a lot of care and attention by the spouses, who have a great sense of aesthetics and participated in every detail. I will miss our meetings.”
