BBB 11 Champion Maria Melilo Reveals Fighting Cancer Inspired Her To Take Social Action

In an interview with CARAS Brasil, BBB champion Maria Melilo talks about how the moment inspired her and reveals her plans for the end of the year

Since he won the eleventh edition of the BBB and won the battle against liver cancer, Maria Melillo (41) felt inspired to work on social actions. For 13 years, the actress has taken advantage of the Christmas period to bring gifts to children in the communities and, this year, it was no different.

This Sunday, the 22nd, Maria Melilo was in the Parque Mundo Novo community, located in the North Zone of São Paulo, to distribute gifts to children. Next to her was her friend Of Caesar (58) and the journalist Cadu Crevelario.

“On festive dates I look for ways to exchange affection and give gifts. At Christmas, for example, a time when we all become more sensitive, I think it is essential to be close to children, especially because many of them hope that the “good old man” will appear and respond to their requests.“, he says in an interview with CARAS Brazil.

Melilo explains that he has been dedicated to actions like this for a long time. “13 years have passed since this action was carried out. Since participating in BBB and beating cancer in the same year, I decided that I would get involved in social action whenever possible. I try with great affection to return every smile. It seems cliché to say it, but it’s priceless.”

As for the end of year holidays, the actress already has everything planned: she will spend Christmas at her home, in Sao Paulo, in the company of some friends, and the new year has a special destination. “I go to Fernando de Noronha, my private paradise! I love that place, have had it for the last few years, it’s so wonderful“, he adds.
