Netflix launched the highly anticipated second season of Squid Game on December 26, and it was a blast. After the success of the first season, which became a worldwide sensation, the new chapter opens the door to an even darker and crueler world. This time it’s even more dangerous, intriguing and shocking.

Song Ki Hoon (Lee Jung Jae), the hero of the first season, returns to the game with a new hairstyle and a strong determination to destroy this nightmare once and for all.   • Song Ki Hoon (Lee Jung Jae) is no longer just a member, but a man with a mission. He invested his wealth to find ways to stop the Squid Game for good. But his path to justice is strewn with pitfalls.
  • Hwang Joon Ho (Wee Ha Joon) is a Seoul detective who miraculously survived after a confrontation with his brother Frontman. His perseverance knows no bounds and he continues to search for the island where the deadly games take place.
  • Frontman (Lee Byung Hun) is the games’ mysterious and dangerous leader, now replacing the late creator Oh Il Nam (the aged 001 player from the previous season). His motivations still remain obscure.
  • The recruiter (Gong Yoo) is the man who recruited Gi Hoon to participate in the games several years ago. He recruits players for the game, preying on vulnerable people who are down on their luck.

No Eul, a North Korean refugee, works in an amusement park, but behind the bright decor hides a dark story. She lost her daughter while fleeing North Korea and is having trouble finding her.
