An easy and delicious cheese biscuit/snack recipe for a snack or appetizer – simple to prepare and bake, with a crunchy and tasty result

CHEESE BISCUITS Ingredients

– 200 g of parmesan to grate + a little to finish

– 200 g of wheat flour

– 120 g of unsalted butter at room temperature

– 1 unit of egg – or enough to make the point

– salt to taste (optional)

Ingredients FOR GREATING:

-oil to taste (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the utensils and ingredients for the recipe.
  2. This recipe yields 260g of biscuits per 2 servings.
  3. Grate the parmesan on the coarse side of the grater. Optionally, you can make it with grated cheese in a bag, as long as it is coarsely grated.
  4. Separate the eggs. Open, beat with a fork and set aside.

PREPARATION:

Cheese biscuit – Dough:

  1. Mix cookie ingredients (except salt) in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  2. Check the salt, add a little more if necessary.
  3. The dough should be homogeneous and should not stick to your hands
  4. If necessary, add a little more egg until cooked.
  5. Form a ball with the dough.
  6. Form the dough into a roll of about 4 cm in diameter.
  7. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or long enough to solidify.

Cheese biscuits – format and cooking::

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Prepare the molds for baking the biscuits: line them with baking paper or a silicone mat. If necessary, grease the baking paper with a drizzle of oil.
  3. Remove the dough from the fridge, unwrap it and start cutting the dough into thin slices of about 3mm.
  4. Arrange the slices on the baking trays, without overlapping them.
  5. If desired, sprinkle coarsely grated cheese over each slice.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown. Cooking time can vary, check and adjust if necessary.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Remove the cheese biscuits from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
  2. Store in airtight containers to maintain crunchiness.
