Julia Stockler reveals details about the story of Beleza Fatal, Max’s first soap opera

The time has come to monitor the misadventures Fatal beauty. MAX’s first soap opera arrives on the platform on January 27, with 40 episodes. The plot, which promises a surprising story, will bring all the talent of Julia Stockler to the small screen, giving life to a character who goes through various traumas after the death of her mother and the kidnapping of her sister.

The unattainable standard of beauty

Gisela, in the role of Stockler, experiences the drama of the incessant search to reach an ideal aesthetic canon. Married to a toxic plastic surgeon, her mind became diseased until she developed body dysmorphic disorder, a condition that causes a distorted perception of one’s image. “It is a very serious and widespread disorder, which affects countless young people. Even more so with the dictatorship of filters on Instagram”, underlines the actress, drawing a parallel with real life. “But over the course of the plot we realize that, despite her illness, Gisela retains great strength and, little by little, manages to see a light at the end of the tunnel,” says Julia.

The strength of the plot

Fatal beauty will bring a story of revenge and the search for justice that takes place in the world of “ideal beauty”, plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures. Sofia (Camila Queiroz) is the one who begins this journey of retaliation after seeing her mother get wrongfully arrested because of her cousin Lola (Camila Pitanga). Driven by grief, she joins the Paixão family, whose matriarch is Elvira (Giovanna Antonelli), to destroy those responsible for this and other tragedies.

According to Julia, the main objective of the soap opera is to make the audience ask themselves: ‘what is beauty for you?’. “It’s a topic that affects everyone in a very private and intimate way. We’re talking about beauty standards, aesthetic rejection, dictatorship of youth and toxic relationships,” she says.

“I hope the soap opera makes people wonder what beauty is and how far we are capable of achieving it.”

A great production

Max’s new soap opera is the creation of Raphael Montes, the same author of the series Good morning, Veronica – a national phenomenon -, and is directed by Maria de Medicis, responsible Tropical paradise AND The Second Sun. The cast includes giant names such as the aforementioned Camila Queiroz, Camila Pitanga, Giovanna Antonelli and Julia Stockler, as well as Vanessa Giácomo, Caio Blat, Murilo Rosa, Herson Capri and others. Internally, expectations for the debut are high. “We are all very happy to present this work. It was made by many hands and with a lot of love,” says Julia.
