Airfryer Banana and Cheese Sandwich Ingredients:
– 4 slice(s) of sliced bread
– 2 small, ripe bananas, cut into longitudinal slices
– 8 slice(s) of mozzarella (or cheese)
– ground cinnamon to taste (optional)
PREPARATION:
- Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand to bring it to room temperature.
- Set aside the other ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
- The suggested filling quantity can be changed according to your preferences.
- It is recommended, but not required, to use a silicone mat or perforated baking paper to line the Airfryer basket, to prevent melted cheese from escaping and spreading onto the equipment.
- Preheat the Airfryer to 180ºC for 3-5 minutes.
PREPARATION:
Banana and cheese sandwich in the Airfryer:
- Peel the bananas and cut them into 3 longitudinal slices each.
- Arrange the bread slices on a cutting board, remove the crust from the bread if you prefer.
- Butter both sides of all slices.
- Place 2 slices of cheese on half of the bread slices, fold them to fit the size of the bread.
- Then arrange the banana slices on top and sprinkle with a little ground cinnamon (optional).
- Distribute the remaining cheese slices over the bananas, always adjusting the size.
- Cover with the remaining bread halves.
Preparation in the Airfryer:
- Grease the Airfryer basket if it is not non-stick or if you are not using any type of coating.
- Then place the sandwiches in the basket, leaving a space between them to ensure air circulation. If necessary, depending on the quantity, divide it into several stages.
- Place the basket in the drawer and insert it into the Airfryer preheated to 180ºC.
- Cook for 3 minutes at 180°C, until the top slice is lightly golden.
- Turn the buns with a spatula and cook for another 3 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the bread is crispy.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- Remove the Airfryer banana and cheese sandwich and cut it in half diagonally.
- Serve it immediately for your snack or breakfast.
