Airfryer Banana and Cheese Sandwich Ingredients:

– 4 slice(s) of sliced ​​bread

– 2 small, ripe bananas, cut into longitudinal slices

– 8 slice(s) of mozzarella (or cheese)

– ground cinnamon to taste (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Remove the butter from the refrigerator beforehand to bring it to room temperature.
  2. Set aside the other ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  3. The suggested filling quantity can be changed according to your preferences.
  4. It is recommended, but not required, to use a silicone mat or perforated baking paper to line the Airfryer basket, to prevent melted cheese from escaping and spreading onto the equipment.
  5. Preheat the Airfryer to 180ºC for 3-5 minutes.

PREPARATION:

Banana and cheese sandwich in the Airfryer:

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into 3 longitudinal slices each.
  2. Arrange the bread slices on a cutting board, remove the crust from the bread if you prefer.
  3. Butter both sides of all slices.
  4. Place 2 slices of cheese on half of the bread slices, fold them to fit the size of the bread.
  5. Then arrange the banana slices on top and sprinkle with a little ground cinnamon (optional).
  6. Distribute the remaining cheese slices over the bananas, always adjusting the size.
  7. Cover with the remaining bread halves.

Preparation in the Airfryer:

  1. Grease the Airfryer basket if it is not non-stick or if you are not using any type of coating.
  2. Then place the sandwiches in the basket, leaving a space between them to ensure air circulation. If necessary, depending on the quantity, divide it into several stages.
  3. Place the basket in the drawer and insert it into the Airfryer preheated to 180ºC.
  4. Cook for 3 minutes at 180°C, until the top slice is lightly golden.
  5. Turn the buns with a spatula and cook for another 3 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the bread is crispy.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Remove the Airfryer banana and cheese sandwich and cut it in half diagonally.
  2. Serve it immediately for your snack or breakfast.
