It doesn’t matter if you were born in the 80s or if you belong to Generation Z: your childhood was definitely marked by Monica’s Gang and her friends. Icon of several generations, comic stories have conquered small and large screens and their different formats satisfy all ages.

Based on the work of Maurício de Souza, “Turma da Mônica” is a children’s series that follows the title character (Giulia Benite) and her friends Magali (Laura Rauseo), Cebolinha (Kevin Vecchiato) and Cascão (Gabriel Moreira) as they live incredible adventures in the Limoeiro neighborhood. The series premiered on the 21st and can be seen on Globoplay.

They are now reaching adolescence and find themselves in an identity crisis when they realize that they are no longer children enough for certain games, but they are not accepted in the teen group either.

The series is a great choice for the school holidays, when the little ones have more free time to play and have fun. But beware: don’t play Smudge and stay away from the water, see? This also includes oral hygiene.

To help dads and moms teach the importance of brushing their teeth, we’ve separated some foolproof tips like Cebolinha’s vs Monica’s plans:

Keep an eye on the food
The best way, according to experts, is to try not to increase the frequency and intake of sugars and carbohydrates so much, especially the stickier ones, such as candy and filled cookies.

Add new habits …
Take advantage of the holidays to buy new toothbrushes and pastes, create a different and playful moment, show your child that you brush your teeth and floss.

… but keep the routine
Do not forget about oral hygiene before going to bed even during the holidays, when the hours are usually more flexible and free.

Prevention is the most important thing
Parents should not wait for all teeth to be in their mouth (around 2-3 years old) or for some emergency to occur to bring their little one to the first visit to the dentist. Invest in preventative measures.
