The hospital opens a process that can confirm the death of the Bragantine player

The Waldemar Tebaldi Municipal Hospital of American, within San Paolo, has announced that he had started the trial and therefore confirm the brain death of Pedro Severino, player of Red Bull Bragantino.

“After a rigid evaluation and followed all the medical protocols, the municipal hospital of Dr. Waldemar Tebaldi informs the opening of the procedures for confirming the 19 -year -old brain death, victim of a tragic accident on the Anhanguera Highway, Tuesday (4).

In order to confirm brain death, in addition to the clinical examination, which should be performed by two different doctors, with a minimum interval of one hour between the first and second, the patient should undergo an apnea test and complementary exams. This procedure can last up to 24 hours after opening the protocol, which took place at 16:30.

The staff of the Municipal Hospital provides all possible support for the family.

The accident

Two players and an RB Bragantino consultant were injured in a violent road accident on Tuesday morning early, 4, at Km 127 of Anhanguera Highway in American. The name of the employee who guided the vehicle remains confidential.
