Oral health is essential to enjoy the day of the kiss with safety and well -being

Who doesn’t like kissing, right? On Monday 13 April, the Kiss Day is celebrated, a date full of affection, affection and smiles. But in addition to the good part, it is important to remember that the kiss can also be a path of transmission of some oral diseases, especially when the health of the mouth is not updated. That’s why, before kissing, it’s worth looking for a dentist!

He only kisses after some cure!

The dentist Anna Karolina Ximenes, from Igm dentistry to the family, underlines that the warning is not to create fear, but to encourage care. “The kiss is a beautiful way to show affection, but oral health must be updated. Some diseases can be spent on saliva, so it is worth reorganizing attention with hygiene”, recommends.

See some conditions that can be transmitted by the kiss:

  • Mononucleosis: “The disease of the kiss”, has a virus and usually causes fever, sore throat, tiredness and swollen hooks around the neck.
  • Herpes lip: Very common, it appears as small blisters on the lips or around the mouth. It is contagious even when the lesions are not yet visible.
  • Sapinho (oral candidiasis): It is an infection caused by mushrooms that may appear when immunity is low. The most common signs are whitish plaques in the tongue or sky of the mouth, as well as burning.
  • Inflammation of the tires (gingivitis): It can develop or worsen with the presence of bacteria that are easily shared by saliva. The red, swollen and bleeding gums are signs of alert.

The advice is simple:

Keep a good routine of oral health, that is, brushing, interdental floss every day, drinking a lot of water and making regular visits to the dentist. However, when there is a problem it takes more attention. “Avoid kissing when there are wounds in the mouth or when the other person is visibly with a little injury, it is undeniably an important care,” says Anna Karolina.

In addition, you can kiss you at ease – with affection, responsibility and health in time, since the important thing is to be happy! “The kiss remains one of the most beautiful forms of connection between people, so it must only be accompanied by care and attention with the mouth,” adds the dentist.
