The indiscriminate use of Tadalafil causes cardiovascular problems

The cardiologist Delano Bezerra, a segmedic professional, a network of outpatient clinics of Baixada Fluminense (RJ), warns that the indiscriminate use of Tadalafil, without a prescription, can cause greater pressure or drop, excessive sweat, cardiovascular problems and priapism, prolonged the erection.

Available in Brazil for five years, the drug in Tadalafil is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and problems relating to urination. However, this drug was inadvertently used by men who attend gyms and want to earn muscles.

According to the doctor, there is no scientific tests that show that Tadalafil is effective in increasing muscle mass. “For now I am not aware of the women who use this type of medicine,” says Delano.

Increase in sales

In Brazil, Tadalafila sales have exploded in recent years. The survey of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) at the request of BBC News reveals that the Brazilians purchased 21.4 million boxes of Tadalafila in the country in 2020. By 2023, this number had risen to 47, 2 million.
