According to the specialist of the doctor and nutrology Valdacy Neto, a 2012 survey analyzed the impact of gas water on young women and discovered that carbon dioxide can interfere with the perception of satiety. “This carbon dioxide, when contacting the intestine, dilates its walls, making the body interpret it as a food intake. The effect is a momentary increase in satiety,” he explains.

Another observed effect was the highest absorption of glucose by cells. “When carbon dioxide is absorbed, a small part turns into sodium bicarbonate, which increases the pH. This process stimulates a better metabolic response to food consumption,” says Valdecy Neto. However, it underlines that these effects are transient and do not mean that gas with gas is a determining factor for weight loss.

Does the gas with gas really lose weight?

“What really affects weight loss is the practice of physical activity, adequate dietary reworking, an improvement in sleep and adequate water consumption during the day. Drink gas with gas does not replace these essential habits,” says the nucleologist.

Therefore, although gas with gas can provide a momentary feeling of satiety and temporarily influence the metabolic response, it is not effective for losing weight.
