The doctor explains that during sleep, the body consumes and releases liquids through sweat, breathing and other functions
Have you heard of the numerous benefits of drinking water immediately after waking up, fasting? This simple but powerful practice can offer several advantages to health and general well -being.
“Drinking water as soon as we wake up can bring health benefits, but it is worth it: no exaggeration. Between a glass (250 ml) and two glasses is a sufficient dose to help replace the water we lost at night,” says the decent doctor Durval Filo, president of the Brazil Association of Nutrology (Abran).
According to the expert, in this period of sleep, our body does not stop, consumes and releases liquids through sweat, breathing and other functions of different organs. “It’s a way to refuel to face the new day,” he says.
Since our body consists of about 70% of water, keeping it hydrated is essential for the correct functioning of the whole body, in particular the brain.
“Water helps to release toxins and waste, contributes to the elimination of unnecessary nutrients, help in the production of blood and muscle cells, balances the lymphatic system, prevents constipation, maintains the elasticity and tonicity of the skin”, explains the doctor.
In addition, it acts as a lubricant for the muscles and joints, improves digestion and immunity and also helps in the correct absorption of nutrients from all our meals, including breakfast.
