Ethel Caterham has just won the title of elderly in the world; Now it shares the secret of longevity

Born on August 21, 1909 in the village of Shiphypton Bellinger, located south of England, Ethel is one of the youngest of a family of eight brothers. Throughout his life, he lived in India and Hong Kong, founded a school and had two daughters.
Ethel moved to India at the age of 18, when he was a nanny to accompany an English family of soldiers. He remained in the country for three years and later met his future husband, Norman Caterham during a dinner. Since he was a greater than the British army, the two spent a few years to live between Hong Kong, where he founded a nursery school to teach English and educational games and Gibraltar, where the couple had two daughters. He died in 1976 at the age of 71.
In an interview with the newspaper The telegraphEthel said he directed until he was 97 years old. “I suppose that if you can magically keep your energy, good health and a sense of adventure, then it seems a good idea,” he said in 2022 on being centenary. Today he likes to play cards and congratulated himself in the nursing home where he lives when he won the title of elderly people in the world, granted by the Gerontology Research Group. He won a party and was photographed with a tiara on his head.
