Marcello Antony, 61, told the Omotorio to publicly reveal that his 22 -year -old son Francisco was born from a mother with HIV. The actor, who has lived in Portugal since 2018 and works as a real estate agent, currently said that the virus was eliminated when the boy was still small.

It contrasts the prejudice against the adoption of a child born from a positive mother to the HIV and ensures that the child, who is coordinator of the kitchen in a restaurant, has never undergone any kind of retaliation.

“Francisco has not undergone any prejudice. Zero prejudice, because it is not positive for HIV and has never been. Here in Portugal, in this regard, there have been no problems, no comments, nothing,” he told the magazine Who.

According to Marcello, Francisco was born with the virus of the biological mother, but in a few months there was no longer a presence in his body. “The revelation of this was totally natural. Especially because it does not have HIV. It had the opportunity to continue with this virus, which did not happen,” he said.

After telling his son, the actor gave this information to public and claims to have done so for the social function of fighting any type of prejudice, as well as to encourage adoption.

“I think the importance of publicly talking about it is precisely the way I thought to encourage people who want to cross adoption. That love exceeds any barrier, regardless of any situation,” he said.
