The group was surprised by a storm while walking through a mountain

The photographer Brianna Pendley said that she, her son and two friends were hit by Lightning as they drag up through the Roan mountain on the border between the North Carolina and the Tennessee in the United States.

Brianna said she went to make a photo shoot for her friend’s wedding, Katie Mcdaniel, accompanied by her son, Landry and her friend Kelly Parker Lawing. The group was at the top of the mountain when it was surprised by a storm.

“When we started on the path, he started raining violently, the water that reached all our faces; I could not see half a meter in front of us,” he reported in a Facebook text.

The photographer said they were in desperation and the only refuge they found were some trees.

“We were repaired under them. It was not our best idea, but at that point we were in survival mode. We gathered in a circle laughing of what happened and suddenly we were on the floor screaming because a lightning hit a tree close to us or on the floor. I heard electricity on my feet and legs and I saw the smoke out of the floor.”

After being hit by lightning, Brianna said she put her son on his back to run with her friends. Everyone went to the hospital, where they suffered exams and were monitored by doctors. The son and one of the friends were blushed in the legs, but were released by doctors.

The photographer said he checked his time before leaving the house and that the sky was clear when they started the path. “It was without notice. There was no thunder.”

“It is so unpredictable. The storm ended in five minutes. I bet I am not going to make paths after,” concluded Brianna.
