Ingredients for light and functional wholemeal bread
- 15 g of fresh yeast
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cup (tea) of warm water
- 1/4 cup (tea) of coconut oil
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup chopped Brazil nuts
- 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
- 2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds
- 1 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
- 1 1/2 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- Wheat flour and oil for greasing
Method of preparation
In a bowl, mix the yeast and sugar until completely dissolved. Add the salt, water, oil, egg, chestnut, flax seeds, sunflower seeds and flour. Stir with a wooden spoon until smooth. Transfer to a greased and floured medium pan and leave to rest covered for 1 hour. Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool and unmold.
