True textures, free shapes and luminous finishes reinforce the beauty of authenticity

The 60th edition of São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW) demonstrated that beauty is following an increasingly authorial path. The threads appear free, but with intention; lucid, but full of life. Hair stops being a secondary role and becomes an extension of the brands’ discourse, strengthening authenticity, protagonism and the power of individual expression.

Hairstyles that translate identity

At the Dario Mittmann fashion show, with beauty designed by beauty artist William Cruz, the hair completed the aesthetic proposal of the collection, mixing elements of street clothing with futuristic and cultural influences.

Some models sported looser, more urban hairstyles, others a more “messy” look, typical of street clothing. “The locks acquired natural texture and volume with the use of light fixative sprays that helped maintain their shape, while mousse and wax defined waves and shaped details, allowing the locks to remain malleable and with movement. In some models we also use a comb baby hair by ProArt to create the look and enhance the contour of the face, giving that touch of urban attitude”, explains the beauty artist.

At the Cria Costura fashion show, the beauty artist Helder Rodrigues created hairstyles that followed the aesthetics of the collection, combining refinement and naturalness. The threads had a light texture and controlled volume, highlighting the authenticity of each look, while the minimalist, discreetly tied styles allowed the details of the pieces to stand out. The artistic and cultural inspiration of the hairstyles strengthened the brand narrative, translating it identitymovement and contemporaneity in every transition of the model.

The Santa Resistência parade wore their hair in a natural motion

Strength, consistency and shine of Holy Resistance

Among the highlights of the season is the Santa Resistência fashion show, which brought a modern interpretation of femininity and emancipation to the catwalk. Inspired by the duality between strength and delicacy, the beauty designed by Jacques Janine, from the hands of hair salon Felipe Antunes, wore his hair with natural movement, splendor smooth and shiny finish, but never harsh.

“The secret was to maintain naturalness; to achieve this, we opted for a combination of products that gave control and flexibility at the same time. To achieve this, I opted for products such as the Charming Modeling Mousse, which defined the locks without weighing them down, and the Charming Hair Spray, ensuring a luminous final touch”, explains the professional.

The tied hair creates a clean and sophisticated look

Trends that dominated the catwalks

In Weider Silveiro’s show, beauty followed the same language of elegance and precision that characterized the ballet-inspired collection. Head of beauty, Helder Rodrigues opted for collected hair, with well-established roots and controlled shine, creating a clean and sophisticated look, enhancing the face and following the design of the clothes.

Aesthetics transmitted, at the same time, discipline and lightness — a direct translation from the world of dance. To achieve this effect, the beauty team used trimmers with the aim of ensuring soft support and definition without stiffness, as well as maintaining hair alignment and shiny finish throughout the presentation. The result was a hairstyle of balanced strength and delicacy, which completed Weider Silveiro’s choreographic gesture on the catwalk.

The sunny touch of Amir Slama

At the Amir Slama fashion show, the make-up hairdresser Murilo Maurício took a gamble it seems which accompanied the freshness and fluidity of the collection. Models appeared with loose, light locks with natural textures, reinforcing an unpretentious beauty that celebrates individuality.

The slightly dampened finish, with a controlled shiny effect, evoked the salty touch of the beach – a constant signature of the stylist -, while loose locks framed the face, keeping the look free and sophisticated. The result is a beauty that reflects the spirit of summer in its most authentic form: simple, sunny and full of movement.

Lino Villaventura and the choreographies of luxury

In the Lino Villaventura show, Helder Rodrigues once again treated hair as part of the architecture of the clothes: strands pulled back, with a precise side parting and an extremely shiny top, reflecting the meticulous construction of the collection. The aesthetic conveyed rigor and lightness at the same time: the discipline of the hairstyle supported the drama of the pieces, while the slightly loose ends brought movement and contrast.
