Chefs from renowned restaurants will be in Bahia to cook and discuss sustainability in gastronomy and tourism
The third edition of the Organic Festival takes place in Trancoso from 6 to 9 October. The festival’s proposal is to rethink gastronomy in a sustainable way. For this, chefs from various regions of Brazil will be brought together in a program of lessons, conferences, lunches and dinners. The epicenter of the event will be the Uxua hotel, elected Best Resort in the World in 2021 by the English edition of Conde Nast Traveler.

The program will have Neka Mena Barreto (Neka Gastronomy, Sao Paulo), Sandra Marchesi (Capim Santo, Trancoso), Morena Leite (Capim Santo, San Paolo), Roberta Sudbrack (South, the green bird, Rio de Janeiro), Gabriele Barretto (Chou and the table of the future, Sao Paulo), Jandira (Forest, Trancoso), Chef Dada (Smile of Dadá, Salvador), Ricardo Lapeyre (Scama, Rio de Janeiro), Daniela Dahoui (Ruella, San Paolo), Thiago Medeiros (Breathe, Itacare), Patricia Helu (Caracolla, San Paolo), Diego Badarò (Amma Chocolates, Salvador), Diego Cartier (Living Vinhos, Rio Grande do Sul), Guilherme Gerard (Uxua, Trancoso) e Paolo Sitolini (Turtle Beach, Trancoso). Everyone will be able to interact with organic producers in southern Bahia and throughout Brazil.

THE Casa Organic Festival Trancoso, located next to the church of São João Batista, will be the meeting point for chefs, producers, the local community and visitors. With the support of the latest edition of Trancoso organic festival In 2019, biologists and environmental engineers opened a community garden in Trancoso Awakening Associationon the main street of the town, where lessons will also be held.
During the event, the NGO Conservation International Brazil will occupy the Party house in the Quadrado for experiences around the sustainability and a presentation of its initiatives in the region. There will be three days of dialogue on the themes of restoration, fishing and sustainable tourism. The program also includes films and a photo exhibition.
On the 6th and 7th the program begins with free lessons, immersive experiences and a six-handed dinner at the Capim Santo Trancoso. On the 8th, this team of chefs and producers will take a big step picnic to the Square where they will serve signature dishes for 20 reais for the whole community. Lessons and conferences with chefs and producers complete the Saturday program. On the 9th, a luau to the UXUA Beach Bar it’s a pocket show by the singer Alice Caymmi – free for the community, as well as all classes and the picnic – will end the Trancoso Organic Festival 2022.

16:00 – 19:00 – Picnic in the Quadrado with all the chefs (each dish of 20 reais)

SUNDAY 9 OCTOBER
10:00 – Associação Despertar welcomes Danielle Dahoui and Patricia Helu (the gastronomy lesson and the experience in the organic garden)
13 – Praia das Tartarugas and Paulo Sitolini welcome Ricardo Lapeyre
19h – Uxua Praia Bar welcomes Thiago Medeiros
