The architect explains how small changes make spaces more pleasant and functional
To transform an environment, a major renovation is not necessary. With sporadic changes it is possible to give a new face to a space, making it more pleasant, functional and beautiful. Therefore, the architect André Henning, a reference in the fields of corporate architecture, entertainment and gastronomy, gives some suggestions to do it in a simple and economical way. Appearance!
1. Electrified track for more light points
Environments usually tend to have only one central point. The electrified track is an excellent alternative because, with the same electrical socket, you can place an electrified track and add more light points In him. And, if there is still no light, you can buy more lights and put them in easily. “With the adjustable points, you can direct the light where you see fit,” says Henning.
2. White or yellow light for environments
People usually use 4000k whiter light, the conventional one on the market, but 3000k light is more comfortable, a little warmer (it’s also a white light, but with a more yellow and natural touch) and makes the pleasant environment. It is mainly used in bedrooms, living rooms and leisure areas, referring to relaxation. However, white light is ideal for other spaces such as the kitchen, bathroom and spaces that require more attention.
3. Use of wallpaper
There are different types of wallpaper and with different prices. The advantage is being able to transform an environment very quickly. “You can find cheaper and beautiful cards, with a quality certificate, with a good search. Installation is quick, and if you are tired of the card, you can remove it and use it elsewhere until you replace it with another. This one. makes it easy to transform the house with a simple and mess-free exchange, as in the painting“, underlines the architect.

4. Tables it can be used in various ways
You can transform a space using frames. It is easy to find different compositions that give life to a wall and give another face to one environment. It does not necessarily need a frame, which is usually more expensive. Often it can be glued directly to the wall with a thin and easy to place MDF.
“It makes more sense to think of the image that is beautiful, that fits the space and composition you intend to make, whether it’s one or more frames, dimensions,” says Henning. A large frame in a large environment enhances the space. And you don’t even need to hang it on the wall: you can have one placed on shelves, large paintings on the ground, they are very interesting unconventional uses.
5. Plants to give more life to the decoration
In installations give life to the environment. “You can buy it ready-made or choose the pot, the plant and make it yourself”, says the architect. It is important to talk to the florist’s professional about the environment in which it will be placed, to find out what its needs are – whether it needs more or less light, for example, or whether it lives well indoors. “It is also nice to think about the composition of one to three pots, always respecting the needs of each plant”, he adds.
