The MC says he is focused on his career and has no plans to become a father in the near future.
Funk artist MC Cabelinho recently underwent a reversible vasectomy. This Wednesday, 16, he shared the details of the procedure on social networks and answered some questions.
The 26-year-old MC says he can still be a father whenever he wants, but is currently focused on his career. “I want to clarify that I can be a father whenever I want and that’s why I opted for a reversible vasectomy,” he said. He added: ‘So when I feel it’s time, I will operate again and have my baby. However, I know where I want to go, I want to stay 100% focused on my work to deliver the best to my fans.”
The singer is in a relationship with actress Bella Campos, who played Muda in the soap opera ‘Pantanal’. MC Cabelinho reiterated that he wants to be a father but that he has to sort out some things for the arrival of a child.
“I bought these sneakers, I kept them in stock and every time I look at them I imagine a voice saying: ‘Dad, I’m waiting for you’. I’m waiting for you too son. But let me fix a few things here first. I will prepare for your arrival! It will all be planned! Thank you, God, for allowing this! Felizão,” celebrated the funk singer.
Try to understand how the intervention works
According to Hospital Sírio Libanês, vasectomy is technically reversible. However, the success rate of reversal surgery can vary depending on how long the man has undergone the procedure. The chance of success with reversal decreases when the surgery was done more than five years ago, for example.
The doctor dr. Sami Arap, professor of urology at the USP Faculty of Medicine and member of the Hospital das Clínicas and Hospital Sírio-Libanês team, explained in an interview with Dr. Dráuzio Varella that, if the reversal is performed three or four years after vasectomy, in 70% of cases there is a possibility that the woman will become pregnant.
A vasectomy is surgery that cuts off the flow of sperm through the epididymis — a type of ball-shaped tube that sits at the top of the testicles — to the vas deferens which empty into the urethra. It is a proven method of contraception that does not cause side effects in men.
