Brunello Cucinelli closes the deal for the launch of the eyewear brand

Italian luxury fashion brand Brunello Cucinelli and EssilorLuxottica have signed an exclusive licensing agreement for the design, production and distribution of the brand’s eyewear and sunglasses, which will unite the two companies for the next decade.

The new contract will come into force on January 1st and will last until December 31st 2032, with the first collection coming out in the first quarter of 2024.

The agreement represents an extension of the ongoing collaboration between the two companies, which in 2021 saw the launch of the first eyewear capsule with the Brunello Cucinelli logo and Oliver Peoples, brand of EssilorLuxottica.

“This choice that we share with the highly esteemed EssilorLuxottica is much more than a signature, it is an act of deep affection and esteem,” said Brunello Cucinelli, Executive Chairman and Creative Director of the Maison.

“Between two realities born from a passion for beauty and the care for well-made things. Incidentally, I have always had a special relationship with the late Leonardo Del Vecchio”, he added.

Francesco Milleri, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EssilorLuxottica, stressed that he is “excited to continue his journey with Brunello Cucinelli, a luxury lifestyle brand”.

“Through our new collections, we will continue to offer consumers around the world beautiful designs and handcrafted eyewear that embody the best of Brunello Cucinelli style,” concluded Milleri. 🇧🇷
