Matcha Cake Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1.2 cups sugar or sweetener of choice
  • ¼ cup fresh cream;
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of matcha
  • 1 pinch of salt

Method of preparation:

Put the sugar or sweetener with the butter in a mixer until you get a creamy mixture. Beat the eggs separately and add the previous mixture until you obtain a full-bodied mixture. Little by little, mix the wheat flour with the cream a little at a time until you feel it take consistency. Finally add a pinch of salt, yeast and matcha. Don’t forget to mix well and you can let the dough rest for a minute.

While the dough rests, butter a mold. Then insert the dough into the mold and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40-50 minutes or until lightly browned on the sides. Remove from the oven, let it cool and serve.
