Change is part of the transition process in the group
Executive Gianfranco D’Attis was named this Tuesday (13) as the new CEO of the Prada brand.
Former President of Christian Dior for the Americas, D’Attis will assume the new role on January 2, 2023 and will report to Andrea Guerra, formerly of LVMH, Luxottica and Eataly and who will be sworn in as CEO of the Prada Group on the 26th of the same month.
Through a press release, the Italian brand says that D’Attis will be responsible for the “strategic development of the brand in all markets”. “Its proven experience in the luxury market, with a specific focus on retail, will help Prada increase its growth potential,” he adds.
The changes come as the current CEOs of the Prada group and brand, Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli, prepare the transition process to the next generation. Lorenzo Bertelli, the couple’s son, is now the director of corporate responsibility for the group and will be groomed by Guerra to one day take over from his parents.
Patrizio Bertelli will assume the position of chairman of the board of directors, while Miuccia will continue as creative director of the Prada brands, alongside Raf Simons, and Miu Miu. 🇧🇷
