Tidy bed: Check out 15 styling hacks


Visual editor Mayra Navarro showcases practical storage ideas for everyday life and varied styles

One of the quickest and easiest ways to breathe new life into your room is to perfect the bed making🇧🇷 But it’s not enough to stretch the sheet. some tricks of styling it can make it more charming and cozy.

To reveal the secrets of the perfect bed, we spoke to the visual editor Maya Navarrowhat is it expert in the art of creating storage for editorials and interior projects. Below, check out Mayra’s tips, which are practical (after all, nobody wants to work!) and cater to different tastes.

Neutral base with soft colors in the details

In this room, designed by Lore Arquitetura, Mayra has created a classical composition to follow the furniture line. “I took the neutral tones of the wall and the muted colors of the Aubusson rug,” she explains. Note that the composition of the delicate textures of the cushions makes a harmonious pair with the duvet, which has silk in its composition.

Below are two examples of how a same headboard It can allow memorization of different styles. This apartment, designed by the architect Daiane Antinolfi, won the carpentry created by Bontempo. And in the bedrooms, a navy blue headboard frames the bed. Below, the couple’s bedroom has been set up with a bed contemporary and minimalist🇧🇷

“They didn’t want many colors, so I chose one mix of textures to create an unpretentious and chic composition,” says the editor. An interesting tip here: when placing pillows in parallel, the upper one protects the lower one from dust, which should be used during sleep.

Below, in the bedroom of one of the children, the idea was to bring more shades of blue for the neutral base of the bed linen. For this Mayra has chosen cushions of different models and a plaid with the same shades as the other elements.

In this room, signed by the architect Patricia Ganme, the walls are covered in fabric and create a welcoming atmosphere for the environment. Mayra was inspired by this covering and works of art to compose the bed linen. Here’s a trick to create harmonious environments: observe the surroundings to define the colors🇧🇷 “The combination of linen and ribbed mesh created a sophisticated bed”, underlines the visual editor.

Neutral base with strong points of colour

When the idea is to work with more intense colors, the advice is seek harmony in the decoration that already exists in the environment🇧🇷 In this room, designed by architect Décio Navarro, the green walls and yellow and light orange light fixtures already suggest the path of the palette. “I opted for a neutral base for the bedding and brushed details taken from the orange lamp to create a lighter look,” Mayra explains.

In this project by architect Fernanda Dabbur, Mayra played with images framed on the head. “They’ve been my go-to for choosing a gray linen bedding as a base,” explains the pro.

To give a touch of color to this composition, Mayra chose cushions by warm tones and a classic design print pied de Poule🇧🇷 But how to choose colors in this case? Look at the photo below and find out! The cushions dialogue with the tones of the side carpet. Another tip: You don’t always have to choose a box spring skirt in the same color as your bed linen. In this case it is the same color as the headboard, which is also light.

In this room, designed by Patricia Ganme, the colorful quilt brought back from a trip to Peru served as inspiration for the choice of all bedding, which features neutral tones to let the special piece shine.

From the Sala 2 Arquitetura studio, this room has received a layout inspired by the Japanese beds🇧🇷 Simple and delicate, the linen bed linen respects the wooden structure and the orange linen bedspread comes in to give a more lively touch of colour.

amazing prints

But, if you really don’t want to have a job, but don’t want to give up a dream bed, bet on one amazing print for the kit. In this room, designed by interior designer Cida Moraes, the duvet, cushions and colored walls create a pleasant explosion of colours.

Already in this room, by Fernanda Dabbur, a complete bed by Fratelli Campana neutral colored furniture of the environment. Just a cashmere peg completes the decor.

Created by Beatriz Quinelato, this room shows a fancy headboard which dictates bed making choices. Other, softer shades of blue make the composition harmonious, as does the use of different textures. “The tone-on-tone effect makes everything more sophisticated here,” says Mayra.

beach inspiration

You don’t necessarily have to be on the coast to want one. beach atmosphere in your room. And, if that’s your case, know that with bedding, it’s possible to bring that climate. Or, if you want ideas for decorating a beach house bedroom, the suggestions below may come in handy.

In this project by the architect Décio Navarro, the brick wall already carries the atmosphere of the beach and the turquoise wall refers to the sea. To complete, the simple bed linen, with gradient print create a relaxed and practical atmosphere for everyday life.

With a totally neutral basis, Mayra abused the Colors in this room tropical climate, signed by Fernanda Dabbur. “The embroidered pillow helped define each other’s colors and brought joy to the space,” says the visual editor.

OR knitwear was the inspiration for this beach room, designed by architect Paulo Tripoloni. Gray and blue is a color duo that creates a contemporary décor. Wood and natural textures are responsible for not leaving the room cold.

THE mix of prints is the secret of this elegant bed, designed by the architect Marcella Leite🇧🇷 The paintings on the headboard inspired the choice of prints for the cushions and the footboard with a print pied de Poule lent a contemporary touch to the room.
