DIY New Year’s resolution tree

We all have resolutions, goals, things we would like to do in the new year. But let’s be honest: We often forget about it or simply lose motivation for the 365 days ahead. To help with this task, the Brit+Co came up with the idea of creating a “resolution tree”.

The best part is that the piece serves as both an ornament and a reminder – who knows, it might help you finally change that old wallpaper! Check it out step by step:

🇧🇷

You will need:

  • colorful pompoms
  • spray paint
  • twigs
  • papers for noting resolutions/goals
  • ribbons for hanging cards
  • paper punch
  • scissors or stylus
  • cutting mat
  • metal ruler
  • hot glue

How to do:

🇧🇷

Start by painting the branches with the color of your choice: the ideal is to do it in an outdoor area in a space lined so as not to stain. Leave to dry for 20-30 minutes.

🇧🇷

Once dry, add the pom poms to the branches using hot glue. When finished, arrange the sprigs in a vase.

🇧🇷

Cut and punch the papers you will use to write resolutions/goals. Once filled, string each one with a ribbon and hang them on your tree.

🇧🇷

Ready! Now leave the tree somewhere you like, preferably where you’ll see it often!
